  • Yes! Get Fired Up Studio brings pottery painting directly to your home, school, business, senior community, or event.

  • Parties start at $22 per painter with a 6 painter minimum. The final party total depends on the pottery options selected by the host.

  • Yes. A $25 non-refundable booking deposit reserves your party date and is applied toward your final party total. The remaining balance is due at the time of the party.

  • The host provides tables, chairs and a place to paint. Food and drinks are completely up to you! For kids' parties, we ask that adults are available to supervise.

  • We bring the pottery, paints, brushes and painting supplies. After the party, we take the pottery with us to glaze and kiln-fire.

  • After booking your party, browse our pottery collection and choose up to 5 pottery options for your group. Then use the Pottery Choices form at the bottom of the collection page to send us your selections.

    If everyone will be painting the same piece, you only need to submit one choice.

  • Yes! We're a mobile pottery painting studio—we bring the experience to you. Travel is free in Elizabeth and Parker, with a travel fee for some surrounding areas.

  • Absolutely! Our pottery painting parties are perfect for ladies' nights, book clubs, team-building events, and gatherings with friends.

  • Yes! We offer pottery painting birthday parties for kids, teens, and adults.

  • No. The paint is yours to keep. Please return all reusable painting supplies with your finished pottery, including brushes, sponges, paint palettes, and any optional design tools. Thank you!

  • Most finished pieces are ready approximately one week after being returned for firing.

  • Pottery painting is fun for all ages!

    Children under 5 may need additional assistance from an adult.

    For pottery painting parties, we recommend ages 5 and up, although younger children are welcome with adult supervision.

  • Yes. Pottery pieces glazed and fired by Get Fired Up Studio are food safe unless otherwise noted.

  • Not at all! Pottery painting is designed for beginners and experienced painters alike.

  • No! Your painted piece will look lighter, dull, and chalky before it's glazed and kiln-fired. That's completely normal.

    After we professionally glaze and fire your pottery, the colors become richer, brighter, and glossy, bringing your artwork to life.

    Tip: Don't worry if your piece looks a little different before firing—the magic happens in the kiln!

  • For best results, apply 3 coats of paint.

    • 1 coat = light and translucent

    • 2 coats = more vibrant but may show brush strokes

    • 3 coats = best color coverage and closest to the Paint Color Chart

    Paint colors shown on the Paint Color Chart are based on 3 coats of paint.

  • Yes! A regular #2 pencil can be used to lightly sketch your design on the pottery before painting.

    The pencil marks will burn off during firing.

  • No worries! Mistakes are easy to fix before your piece is fired.

    The easiest method is to let the paint dry completely, then gently erase the mistake with a clean pencil eraser. This works surprisingly well for removing small areas of paint without affecting the surrounding design.

    For larger mistakes, you can also use a slightly damp sponge or paper towel to wipe the paint away and repaint the area.

    Remember—painting pottery is meant to be fun, not perfect!

  • Each take-home pottery kit includes up to 5 paint colors of your choice. Black and White are included at no additional charge.

  • Yes! Our take-home kits include pottery, paint, brushes, glazing, and kiln firing so you can create at home.

  • Underglaze pencils are available upon request as part of the Design Tool Pack.

    Unlike a regular pencil, underglaze pencil lines do not burn away during firing, making them great for:

    • Outlines

    • Lettering

    • Detailed drawings

    • Fine design work

  • Yes! Free porch pickup is available in Elizabeth.

    We also offer our Pottery Concierge Service for Take-Home Kits and finished pottery, with delivery fees ranging from $15-$35 depending on location.

  • Nope! We provide everything needed to complete your project. Simply choose your pottery piece, pick your colors, and start painting.

  • Absolutely! There's no minimum order. Order 6 or more take-home kits, and we'll waive the local delivery fee!

  • Absolutely! You can mix and match from any of our collections. As the host, you'll choose 3–5 pottery options for your guests. Pricing is based on the pottery selected.
